About this professional
People do not always come to therapy knowing exactly what is wrong. Sometimes, they know what they feel but cannot explain it. Sometimes, they understand their patterns but struggle to change them. Others have spent years holding things together, trying to make sense of experiences they have never quite had the space to process. This is where our work can begin. I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a background in clinical assessment, psychological intervention, and therapeutic care across hospital and private practice settings. I work with individuals navigating emotional distress, difficult relationships, recurring behavioural patterns, trauma-related experiences, anxiety, low mood, life transitions, and other challenges affecting their sense of self and quality of life. I also support people working through substance-use-related difficulties and those seeking a better understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviour. My approach is both compassionate and purposeful. I draw on evidence-based psychological interventions, particularly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while integrating other therapeutic perspectives where appropriate. I am interested not only in what you are experiencing, but also in how you have come to understand yourself, the beliefs that shape your decisions, the patterns that keep repeating, and the experiences that may have influenced them. Understanding these connections can help us identify what needs to change and how to begin making those changes. What does a session with me feel like? You do not have to arrive with the right words, a complete explanation, or a clear understanding of yourself. You are allowed to be uncertain, conflicted, emotional, or still trying to make sense of things. My role is not to judge your experiences, rush you towards a solution, or tell you how to live your life. Our sessions offer room for honest exploration, thoughtful questions, and meaningful reflection. I will listen carefully, but I will also help you examine perspectives, recognise patterns, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and develop practical ways of responding differently. Depending on your needs, our work may involve structured exercises, therapeutic assignments, personalised resources, or skills you can practise between sessions. I value warmth, collaboration, and clarity. I want you to feel heard without feeling reduced to your difficulties, and supported without being treated as though you have no part to play in your own growth. Therapy is not about pretending difficult experiences did not happen. It is about understanding their impact, developing new ways of relating to yourself and others, and building the capacity to respond to life with greater awareness and flexibility. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. We can start with what is happening now, make sense of it together, and work towards the changes that matter to you. You bring your experiences. We work towards understanding them, one meaningful step at a time.
